HOLMEGAARD


HOLMEGAARD is Denmark's oldest and largest glass factory, founded in 1825 by Countess Henriette, and has served eight generations of the Danish royal family. KAHLER represents the Nordic school of classic design and tableware, as well as the inheritance of its long history of more than 180 years. With handcraft experience passed down from generation to generation and a deep insight into clay multifunctional molding techniques, KAHLER has been at the forefront of Danish ceramic art for more than 180 years. The old KAHLER Studio was a meeting place for many great Danish artists, such as Thorvald Bindesbøll, Svend Hammershøi and Kai Nielsen.


At the bottom of each KAHLER piece is the "HAK" logo, which was designed by the world-famous Danish ceramic artist Svend Hammershøi. Svend Hammershøi devoted his passion to KAHLER from 1893 until his death and was of great significance to the development of KAHLER.
