In recent years, furniture design, production, sales and other links continue to refresh and upgrade, furniture industry presents a new atmosphere, "young state". Furniture enterprises continue to target new consumer demand, promote digital transformation, accelerate the expansion of overseas markets, China Home Expo maintains a good momentum of development.

Focus on new consumer demand

In recent years, the furniture consumption market has shown many new trends, which provides the direction for the product innovation of furniture enterprises. The concept of "everyone living" consumption is gradually popular. Home consumption covers home appliances, furniture, home textile, home decoration and other fields. The mode of "Everyone Living" is to provide consumers with one-stop, integrated and full-scene home consumption solutions.

At present, young groups have become the main force of furniture consumption, and they have higher requirements for consumption convenience and experience. Furniture brands continue to meet consumers' personalized needs and improve consumer experience, such as opening AR preview function on online malls and interacting with consumers through social media, which can seize new growth points.

Green and environmental protection products have increasingly become the first choice of consumers, and furniture panel manufacturers have increased scientific and technological innovation to improve the environmental protection performance of products. At present, the widely used wood-based board is made of wood chips bonded by glue. Whether the board is environmentally friendly mainly depends on the quality of glue.

Apply the new technology of "intelligent manufacturing"

In recent years, furniture manufacturers generally introduce digital-intelligent production lines to promote the transformation of furniture manufacturing to furniture "intelligent manufacturing".

Opai Home AI factory, global orders are continuously transmitted to the "intelligent brain" for review 24 hours a day, and orders are allocated to the five major production bases of OpAI after intelligent second-level sorting.

Gujia Home whole house customized production research and development base, using industrial Internet technology, artificial intelligence and other technologies, equipped with magnetic levitation technology edge machine, mechanical arm and other equipment, to achieve fully automatic flexible production. Thanks to this "intelligent manufacturing" mode, the order production cycle of Gujia customized cabinet products has been shortened from 72 hours to 24 hours.

Explore new models of "going to sea"

China is the world's largest furniture exporter. Since this year, "going abroad" has become an important way for many furniture enterprises to cultivate new growth points.

Data from the General Administration of Customs show that from January to May this year, the cumulative export value of furniture and its parts products was 212.55 billion yuan, up 20.5 percent year on year, showing a strong momentum in China's furniture exports. Insiders said that after many years of deep cultivation of European and American markets, many furniture companies began to turn their attention to emerging markets such as South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Cross-border e-commerce has become a new driving force for furniture enterprises to "go abroad." More and more e-commerce enterprises cooperate with furniture factories to promote product development and innovation and accelerate the construction of brand product system. In the process of "going abroad", enterprises can build overseas warehouses in the main target countries, pick up and send goods from overseas warehouses according to the order demand, so as to solve the problems of large volume of furniture products, high transportation costs, logistics, storage, after-sales service and so on. This model, while reducing logistics costs, enables overseas direct purchase of goods to save about 20% of the cost on average compared with single direct mail.

"Going abroad" enterprises can also optimize warehousing, packaging, transportation routes and other aspects through supply chain integration, and strengthen communication between multiple countries and multiple enterprises in logistics nodes.
