Tongyichen

Tongyichen is a small-scale design and production practice that observes and organizes various modes of production while deconstructing the relationships between people, objects, and environments within space. It documents ideas through design, with works presented in the form of homeware, installations, and other objects. The product designer lives and works in Hangzhou. Through observing everyday objects and exploring materials and craftsmanship, his practice often places familiar things in different environments and contexts, challenging conventional perceptions of materials and exploring new applications. His works have been presented at the Milan Furniture Fair, London Design Week, and other international platforms.
