RESTUDIO is a material research-driven product design studio founded by Huang Huizhen and Tang Weikun in 2018. The studio develops and puts design ideas into practice through products as its primary medium. Combining sustainable design approaches with a distinctive perspective, RESTUDIO explores the forms and functions of materials, seeking to unlock value beyond their conventional role as raw materials. It encourages viewers and users to reconsider the “original identity” and “existing identity” of materials.
