From September 5–8, 2026, CIFF Shanghai will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) under the theme of "Design · Digital Intelligence · Sustainability." With a total exhibition area of 250,000 m², the fair will comprehensively cover all categories of furniture and building materials, creating an integrated platform that connects the entire home furnishing industry chain across both domestic and international markets.

Following the successful launch of China's first "New Retail Furniture Pavilion" in September 2025, CIFF Shanghai will once again collaborate with Red Star Macalline in 2026 to present the largest and most comprehensive new retail furniture-themed exhibition zone in China. Covering 8,000 m², the pavilion is expected to bring together 15 leading brands, with both the number of participating brands and exhibition space doubling compared to its inaugural edition. During the fair, dedicated "dual-selection matchmaking sessions" will precisely connect brands, distribution channels, and dealers, providing new retail brands with end-to-end support from exhibition to market implementation.

From emerging players entering the market to leading brands gathering at scale, CIFF Shanghai continues to amplify the industry influence and channel momentum of the new retail furniture sector.

In the second half of 2023, when new retail furniture brands were still searching for sustainable growth amid intense competition in online traffic channels, Red Star Macalline took the lead in opening its offline malls to these emerging brands. It has since become an early adopter, a committed driver, and a leading force in the sector.

To date, Red Star Macalline has partnered with over 35 new retail furniture brands, with the total area dedicated to new retail furniture in its nationwide malls reaching 217,000 m², representing a 60% increase compared to 2024. In the first quarter of this year alone, the company introduced nine emerging brands, including Shiyu, Yueying, Yiju Yijia, MADAS, CALDRI, and Fasadi, among others. Behind these figures lies Red Star Macalline's forward-looking strategy and sustained investment in the new retail furniture segment.

First-Store Effect:

The First Stop for New Retail Furniture Going Offline

For new retail furniture brands that originated online, the choice of their first offline store is critical. Red Star Macalline has become the preferred destination for the vast majority of these brands' first offline locations.

Brands such as Pusu Furniture, Mumo, Chenwu, and Zhijian have opened their first national stores at the Shanghai Hunan Mall. BLBM and Shiyu chose the Shanghai Wenshui Mall. Yueying and Evita Home launched at Tianjin No.1 Mall. CALDRI opened its first store at the Wuhan Hanyang Mall. More than 13 new retail brands have established their first offline stores within Red Star Macalline. With its nationwide mall network, mature operational system, and access to high-value consumers, Red Star Macalline has become the most reliable starting point for new retail brands transitioning from 0 to 1.

Scale Effect:

From "First Store" to "Primary Strategic Channel"

The first store is only the beginning. The real test of channel value lies in whether a brand can scale from a single trial point to a structured, large-scale presence. Red Star Macalline has not only achieved this, but has also become the primary strategic offline channel for new retail furniture brands.

At the city level, Shanghai, Beijing, and Tianjin have emerged as the three key markets with the largest footprint and highest concentration of new retail furniture brands. Across these three cities, the total operating area has reached nearly 60,000 m², bringing together over 40 brands and more than 80 stores.

At the brand level, leading new retail brands have positioned Red Star Macalline as their core offline base. Yeswood operates 178 stores within Red Star Macalline, accounting for 11.86% of its total channel presence, making it its No.1 strategic channel. Pusu Furniture accounts for 50% of its overall channel presence. Chuhu Furniture accounts for 35%, and Chaoqu reaches 80%. From first-store entry to scaled expansion, and from individual brands to city-level clusters, Red Star Macalline has, within just two years, completed its transformation from an early mover to a market leader.

Benchmark Effect:

A Flagship Hub for the Largest Stores Nationwide

Red Star Macalline has become not only the preferred starting point and primary expansion platform for new retail brands, but also a flagship destination for benchmark stores.

Brands including Yeswood, Chuhu Furniture, Pusu Furniture, Chaoqu, Chenwu, BLBM, Pashaman, and Shuimo Lanting have all established their largest flagship stores nationwide within Red Star Macalline. These record-setting flagship stores highlight Red Star Macalline's unmatched advantages in location, customer traffic, and operational capabilities. The willingness of brands to place their largest stores and best resources within Red Star Macalline is, in itself, the strongest endorsement of the platform's value.

Accelerating in 2026:

10 matchmaking events · 20 new retail furniture pavilions · 300,000 m² target

In 2026, Red Star Macalline will further expand its presence in the new retail furniture sector with clear targets of exceeding 300,000 m² in total new retail furniture area nationwide and establishing 20 new retail furniture pavilions. CIFF Shanghai will join hands with Red Star Macalline to create the largest new retail furniture exhibition platform in China.

1. Nationwide rollout of 10 "New Retail Furniture Matchmaking Events" A total of 10 events have been planned throughout the year, covering key cities including Zhengzhou, Dalian, Shenyang, Shijiazhuang, Chengdu, Jinan, Guiyang, Dongguan, Ningbo, Urumqi, Xi'an, and Tianjin. The Zhengzhou session has already been successfully held, facilitating the signing of five brands. The Dalian and Shenyang sessions also received strong responses, attracting over 80 dealers, leading to five brand signings and eight high-potential leads for in-depth engagement. The effectiveness of this precise matchmaking model has been well validated, accelerating the transition of high-quality brands from online to offline, and from regional presence to nationwide expansion.

2. Rapid rollout of new retail furniture pavilions In May this year, the new retail furniture pavilions at Shanghai Wenshui Mall and Beijing No.1 Mall will launch simultaneously, marking a dual debut in Shanghai and Beijing. Subsequently, new pavilions will open in Shanghai Hunan Mall, Beijing East Fifth Ring Mall, Tianjin No.1 Mall, Shenyang Hunnan Mall, Wuhan Hanyang Mall, and Wuxi Xishan Mall, among others. With new openings taking place month by month, a nationwide offline network for new retail furniture will take shape.
